BASF
Agricultural trade advertising for New Zealand market
The following is a selection from a series of adverts created for BASF New Zealand.
In all cases the focus is on creating a point of difference to break through the norm of agricultural work when published in magazines etc. The attached series has been well received and in all cases material is suported by advertising booklets and display material.
Serenade Max was a product already in circulation but marketed as an "alternative biological" or eco friendly option to chemicals. Research indicated the main benefit of the product was in fact the ability for use during a window when chemicals couldnt be applied as in just before harvest. Therefore the product was repositioned to take promote this fact and the black boards became mini billboards to sell this fact to grape growers.
Frontier P is a pre-emergent herbicide - therefore its activity takes place prior to new plant shoots breaking the surface. To create a visual hook we used the analogy of a baby birth to illustrate the point a plant sprayed with a pre emergent herbicide was more likely to be born healthy and therefore the  farmer would get better returns
