Why choose the horror genre?
For a startup and low-budget production, the horror film genre comes on top. I had my concept for a long time for this movie and wanted to create it. Even though viewing horror films might make us feel apprehensive and unpleasant, we continue to watch them one after the other. Paradoxically, we despise the sensation of being terrified yet like the excitement of it. The main reason behind choosing a horror movie is that people get curious about the next scene. They get more engaged in it. It is not that relatable to the audience like other genres, such as rom-coms, but it has an engaging factor and requires a low budget in production. In horror film production, we can learn a lot, from special effects to VFX. We learn how to add related sound effects to the scenes, as in horror films, sound is the key to making the audience go crazy. The fun part is that we can add anything unreal to the movie, as the audience already knows that this is just fiction and keeps on enjoying it.
