Lushness, a wellness blog with a dedicated focus on black wellness, has commissioned the creation of a unique identity for their inaugural annual listicle, spotlighting the top one hundred wellness influencers within and adjacent to the black community. The project entails the integration of existing brand assets, including the logo and brand colors, while ensuring adaptability across various platforms such as social media, digital channels, and potential sponsorship engagements. Central to the creative direction is the infusion of nature-inspired elements and the cultivation of a contemporary African aesthetic.
Each honouree was included in one of ten categories. During the campaign period, each category was teased and announced. Conceptually, it made sense to be able to distinguish the various categories. To solve this, we proposed creating a unique pattern for each category. Additionally, the concept could potentially have been applied to all one hundred inductees, with each receiving their own unique pattern if need be. Each pattern made use of the number '100', transforming it into a graphic representation that subtly linked to the concept of the listicle while simultaneously creating visual distinction and African flair.
