TRIPLEX MODEL SHOE
For this project, I was assigned to create a model of a shoe, to make it as precise and accurate as possible.
ACTIVITY1: FULL MODEL SHOE
This project as a whole required a lot of patience, persistence and problem solving to complete. Failure to use certain methods to work well with the triplex board required different approaches to achieve texture and accuracy. I made use of the Bostic clear adhesive to put the different components of the shoe together, sandpaper to refine the rough edges and masking tape to accurately transfer all the dimensions and curves from the reference shoe to the model.
Seen above is the half model of the shoe that was required of us so as to provide insight as to how the shoe looks inside and out.
This part of the project required us to create the tooling block of the shoe. This was challenging because the details were now reversed in their appearances.
