TRIPLEX MODEL SHOE
The triplex shoe was the first project of the year. This project required us to remake a shoe with some complex forms using triplex cardboard. The triplex shoe was supposed to have the exact details of the actual shoe. No additional material could be added to the triplex as it was to be used in its raw form.
Activity 1: Full Model Shoe
The process took over 5 days as the tongue of the shoe was a trial and error process. The sole was the easiest part as it is what I started with. The ankle sides of the shoe had detailing that I imprinted using a blade to add substance to the project. The biggest challenge was the front of the shoe, which could not close with different kinds of glues, I eventually closed this gap using tape.
