The design concept of LAMINART chair, is based in the romantic idea of two lines which carefully approach, gently touch each other, and end up by separating themselves in the exact moment they materialize into two sheets of corian, leaving thereby its outline for life.
The essence of LAMINART collection relies in its section, which not only offers and extremely dynamic aesthetic but also a high load-bearing capacity. Actually, it is the relation between these two planes in the space what defines its careful ergonomics and structural capacity, at the time it contributes, undoubtedly, to its questionless sculptural value.
Its poetic shape as well as its visual lightness were only two of the premises followed for its design, but not the only, as we were extremely interested in the perdurability of the piece aswell as of course its SCULPTURAL appearance. In order to answer to these last premises, we finally chose Corian Dupont for the entire collection, which offered and excellent result to the outdoor conditions at the time it could be treated as an sculpture.
It is important to highlight, the added feature of the back sheet of LAMINART chair, which folds at the end of its travel to form an extremely functional space thought to hang jackets, handbags… or even leave books and magazines inside. Simplicity is present also throughout all over its manufacturing process, as it is completely made out of Corian without the aim of any other mechanical fixing aswell it is thermoformed in a unique direction, fact that facilitates its construction and assembly.
Cleared of any ornament, preserving his essence and realized entirely in Corian, Dupont, we present you LAMINART collection.
We only hope that you enjoy the experience...
