"Upcycled" Cigar Boxes

I think there's beauaty hiding in everything, even in those things that we would otherwise throw away.  I'm not referring to an American Beauty-esque floating bag on film beauty, no, it's more that everything has the potential to become a better version of itself, or part of something else.

A lot of poeple take cigar boxes and use them to store trinkets, baseball cards, or other little things, but they tend to end up relegated to the dark, hidden places - closets, under beds, or the sock drawer.

I believe that the humble wooden cigar box can be more than that - if treated properly it could even become something along the line of furniture.
The boxes are sanded down - sometimes removing all of the existing finish, sometimes leaving lettering and stain behind, and sometimes just removing the roughness of Boite Natural.  Then, stain is applied, followed by several coats of high gloss poly, and they are finished with new, higher quality brass hardware.
These pieces are composed of discarded cigar boxes, colored felt, brass hardware, Verathane poly stain, and Verathane High Gloss poly.
