Triplex Model Shoe

TRIPLEX MODEL SHOE
We were briefed to make a 1:1 model replica of a selected shoe. The model was made using mainly white triplex board, glue and a craft knife
Activity 1: Full Model Shoe
During the making process of this model, I decided to use masking tape to create an accurate template of my chosen shoe. Once I had a template, I could carefully cut out the sections to put together the final shoe model. I had difficulties figuring out how to curve the triplex, and I didn’t manage my time well, so I felt rushed. I learned that making models out of triplex cardboard requires a lot of time; therefore, I need to improve my time management skills.
Activity 2 :  Half Shoe
In this activity, we were asked to make a half-section of our desired shoe. Pulling this off was hard in terms of neatness and presentation because of the amount of glue used, but it made sense at the end.
Activity 3 : Block Mould
In this activity, we were asked to create a block mould that was going to fit our desired half shoe. Creating this triplex project was smoother than the rest in terms of time management and neatness. I experienced problems attaching the mold to the main face as the board is hard to bend. but I ended up taping the whole half shoe onto the face mold, and it actually worked out.
