The problem:
Nigerians need an easy, transparent & effective way to vote for their preferred registered leaders which will bring about Political transparency.
This is because, despite the different methods and strategies of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Its shortcomings have led to many controversies that have dampened the confidence of the citizens of Nigeria.
The goal:
To give people a simple customized way to make the registration and voting process as seamless as possible. Thereby, increasing voter turnout.
My role:
This is an individual project that allowed me to plan and direct each step of the design thinking process as a UX design student with mobile and web UI design experience.
Responsibilities:
Conduct User Research, define the problem, and provide insight to inform the ideation phase.
Define Personas, User Journeys, Empathy maps, and User flows.
Visual Designs of Low-fi and High-fi Wireframes, Prototypes, and User Testing.
User research: summary
To understand User frustration, needs and Frustration, needs, and requirements, I conducted foundational research through interviews and user surveys for my project. My goal was to gain insights to understand the process users go through to register, vote, and acknowledge the importance of voting.
There are two types of user research methodologies; qualitative and quantitative research, I chose qualitative research because I had a time constraint.
