"Playing in the Sandbox"

Children's Book Illustration for Ello
The Ello App is a child's read-along companion who listens, teaches, and transforms them into an enthusiastic readers through the use of AI technology as well as traditional picture books. I was commissioned by the Ello team to illustrate a children's book called "Playing in the Sandbox" written by Stephanie Darling. This book would then be integrated into the app in order to help both parents and children make learning to read fun!
Process
I was provided with the pre-written script for the book, which I then used to make rough drafts for each page. After feedback, these were then coloured in and finalised using the Procreate app.
Sketch to final image. A total of 11 illustrations were created for the book.
PNG masks were then applied to the illustrations.
Finally, a cover was also created.
This project was extremely rewarding, with a streamlined approach that allowed me to have a lot of fun with the process. Thanks to the Ello team for giving me this opportunity!
