This is an educational project for a graphic design course from Gonzo socio-cultural Projects Studio. It was necessary to create a cover for a music album that reflects the abstract concept of «Presence». Each of the students had to choose their own music album and find specific images to visualize.

I chose the album «Cleopatra» by The Lumineers. For me, listening to The Lumineers is like starting to yearn for the present moment. It's like suddenly becoming an observer of the outgoing. To feel a sudden sadness at the holiday, realizing that it will end. There is a term describing this condition: "anticipatory nostalgia is a feeling of loss of what has not yet been lost, what is still happening." In my cover, I wanted to visually convey the feeling of leaving, abandonment and transience. I came up with the image of a birthday cake. This is a personal holiday that causes the greatest nostalgia, and makes you remember what happened to you.
