Sarıkız

The commercial narrates a legend about a girl named Sarıkız, who aided the wounded on the battlefield and gave them water. She was herself wounded by an enemy arrow, and her hair spread out on the ground like a newly bloomed flower, wherever it fell, spring emerged. This became the source that gives life to vineyards, gardens, and the body. Thanks to this legend, the name of the mineral water originated.

According to the legend, the events occurred during the siege of the fortress Alaşehir in Anatolia. Sarıkız was a woman from one of the Turkic tribes. In this project, I draw inspiration from various Turkic patterns, creating a metaphor for the flow of life-giving power of the mineral spring, whose water can now be tasted in other parts of the world.

Images of the spring, deers, clouds, sun, snowflakes and even textures refer us to the ornaments of Turkic peoples - Kyrgyz, Kazakhs, Tatars, Khanty and others.
