What is our social and political role as designers, when our freedom is threatened?
This project revisits one of Brazil’s most significant historical events — its military dictatorship, from 1964 to 1985 — with the aim of analyzing the sociocultural contribution of Editorial Design within this context and adding to the studies of Brazilian Graphic Memory. To achieve this, we curated editorial projects from periodicals originating from this period, along with excerpts from authors specializing in the subject. As a result, we developed a pleasant and engaging visual reading experience, increasing visibility for the theme and facilitating the assimilation of the content.
