The last time I had used scratchboard, I was maybe 7 or 8, as that was something I would typically get in a small size and quantity from my grandmother. She was always collecting children's crafts for her grandchildren, and anytime I would come to her house, my sister and I would draw, paint, paste, whatever she had planned for that afternoon. Such a unique project reminded me of her greatly, so naturally I felt a strong need to dedicate it to her.
