Charity for Homeless Branding

 
There are lots of homeless people in the world and no one became homeless by themselves. When I started this project, I thought about lower class people who need care to be alive. Every country has lower class and they were broken off from society. The reason why I selected a charity for the homeless as my organization is because nowadays, the world is becoming bankrupt and it makes it difficult for people to earn money. This kind of situation is making people lose their job, family and become homeless. It’s making the youth become homeless too.
 
When we think about homeless people, we think, they are lonely, poor, dirty, lower, etc. – these are words which are negative. They need help and we need to help them. There are four ways that you can help homeless people without spending money such as donating items for the homeless, working at a shelter, volunteering yourself with other organizations that offer aid, and by using your talents to help homeless people.
 
This is the reason why I selected a charity for the homeless as my organization, called ‘With U’. Also, 30 to 40 year-olds are the target audience who like to volunteer to help the homeless and earn money themselves.
 
You can easily forget that you have family and friends in your life. When you are tired and want to give up, it makes you feel lonely. At that time, if you notice you have important people who are standing with you, it gives you good energy. This shows that relationships are important. So, I named my charity organization for homeless people ‘With U’.
Shelter is a light to homeless people because they can get things that they need. So I took inspiration from light and selected yellow and orange as the main colours. The colour of yellow is happy, playful and optimistic and orange is active, friendly and fun.
This is my organization logo which shows two people who have caught each other’s hands. When I designed the logo, I focused on the name ‘With U’. When we meet best friends, we grab their hands and put arms on their shoulders. It shows our relationship is close. When you see the logo, you can see the world composed around the people image and written ‘With U charity for the homeless’.
 
My items are an envelope, letter head, business card, and post it. The concept of the design is infinite help because I found that we need to keep helping them and keep caring for them. In the world, even though there are lot of charity organizations, they are no longer care for homeless people.
 
I think the really important thing is to keep caring for them to be inside society, so through the repeated visual which is people holding hands, it shows the message of infinite helping. In addition, the reason that I selected post it as one of item is because post its can stick everywhere.
 
Normally, people use post its for remembering promises, meeting times and important things. They stick them to a place that they see many times for a reminder. Likewise, post its are important and stay everywhere with us. So it has a similar characteristic as my organization ‘With U’.
 
I hope people find it interesting and think about homeless people and help them through the items that came from the ‘With U’ charity for homeless. When we help homeless people, the most important thing is to build a relationship with the themes in ‘With U’.
