I completed this project as part of my final year portfolio. I began by choosing a research topic; coral. I fully researched my topic then developed my design ideas based on this research. Once my research was complete I chose an appropriate designer to design a 24 outfit collection for. I incorporated aspects from various areas of my research such as vibrant colour, Print design, and structure.

Reads: Tropical Intricacy focuses on coral and its surroundings. It concentrates on the brightness and flamboyance of coral looking deeply into where its colour comes from, and the different textures within a coral reef. It looks at how coral acts in the ocean, and the different species that can be found together which can create impressive textural juxtapositions; this is shown through contrasting textured fabrics featuring beside one another. The detail and pattern seen in coral is highly intricate and can be used to create beautiful print designs perfect for Miu Miu.
