The Scenery of Caotun
This artwork was created for the joint exhibition "Realities of Ignorance" at the Yu-hsiu Art Museum in Caotun. The pentagonal-shaped mountain was locally created during the preparation for the exhibition, situated near the 99 Peaks Forest Mountain in Caotun.
99 Peaks Forest Mountain experienced severe rockfalls after an earthquake, but over time, vegetation gradually reclaimed the mountainside. This piece draws inspiration from the revitalized situation of 99 Peaks Forest, depicting the symbiotic relationship of various life forms in the area.
I incorporated the scenic imagery into a wooden mountain structure and altered the physical states of the organisms, portraying large plants with roots seemingly crawling up the mountains like legs. In the natural process of rebirth, fruit orchards, including lychee, grapes, pineapples, bananas, dragon fruit, were intentionally planted near the mountain base. During my stay, it was the season of blooming lychee flowers, creating a gentle, pale yellow landscape resembling a fruit garden.
At the foot of the mountain, there were various plants such as mountain palms, shell ginger, and cinnamon trees, all observed during my exploration of 99 Peaks Forest Mountain. The rice fields in Caotun were also impressive, occasionally adorned with pink-colored eggs of the golden apple snail on the edges of the leaves. The overall scene portrayed growth, coexistence, and the intrusion of outsiders. The artwork was initially sketched in detail with a pencil, digitally colored, printed on wooden boards, and then constructed into a wood structure.

五角錐小山是籌備展覽期間，在九九峰山邊住了一陣子所進行的現地製作。

草屯的九九峰曾在地震後有嚴重的礫石崩落，但隨著時間植物又逐漸長回山頭。此作源於九九峰的復生狀態，描述各種生物在此地的共生景象。
我將風景畫面置入立體的木山結構中，把山峰之間的間隙拉開，同時改變了生物的物理狀態，讓一株株帶著根的巨大植物，如同長了多隻腳般向山峰上爬。在自然的重生過程中，山腳邊緣有人為種植的水果農作，像是荔枝、葡萄、鳳梨、香蕉、火龍果、玉米等。 我住的期間是荔枝花盛開的季節，附近果樹上溫柔的淡黃色連綿成一片水果花園。 山中則長了我走入九九峰內所見到的植物，像是山棕、血桐、月桃、土肉桂。草屯的稻田也令人印象深刻，葉子邊偶爾會黏上了粉紅色的福壽螺卵。整體有著生長與共存，也有外來者的進入。此作品先以鉛筆打稿描繪細節，再用電腦上色，印製於木板上，並製作成立體結構。
