This year's early focus has been on creating digital products for sale. The first of those digital products has been focused on typography and fonts. 

Researching old fonts and painter's samples, this old Ballpoint font stuck out. Partly because of its weight, but also there was this display font, above, that pairs with the serif font, below.

The first step was to begin the conversion to digital process, which involved hand-drawing (actually mouse-drawing) each individual character.

Each started with the upper case letters then moving onto the lower case. In terms of the Ballpoint Display font, that is all upper case characters. However, the Ballpoint Roman family included a full character set to be created as well as some alternates as well as a few ligatures.

As with any digital product, there is a release and then there will be updates. We released the first version of both, Ballpoint Display as well as a limited family of Ballpoint Roman which includes: regular, italic, bold, and bold italic weights.
