You know what Ultra Music Festival is by now. Since 2014, the festival has hosted some insane lineups! This year it graduated to the Cape Town Stadium - usually host to Coldplay and Mariah Carey (just to clarify: they weren't there for UMF) - and there was even a stage in the car park that felt like an authentic underground rave. It feels a exhilarating in a very different way - being in the snaking corridors of the stadium when the chanting isn't for a sports team.

Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg is a totally different beast. Despite the rain there were droves of people moving between the stages all the time! There was a constant flow of bodies bustling between bars and bouncing at stages. I feel like the stage was bigger, louder, and more intense than in Cape Town - a veritable barrage on your senses! All four stages were always occupied, people filling the space in front of each artist endlessly.
