This project consists of the presentation of logo and mascot design for Arctics, an eSports team belongig to the college athletic Comunica, at the university of Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (PUC-Campinas).
Arctics eSports was created in 2023 and has players for League of Legends, Valorant and CG:GO games. They are also the first winners of regional JUCA tournament (Jogos Universitários de Comunicação e Artes in São Paulo, Brazil) in the eSports category, which opened in 2023.
To create their first mascot, the main idea was to keep the college athletic's mascot, a walrus, but as a viking warrior, intimidating and strong.
For the logo design, I decided to follow the ice and glacial theme, once the team's name refers to the Arctic (polar region of the planet); as well as I had some inspiration in norse runes at the early stages.
