Peter Pan en de Schommel Schuit

main ride
In the story of Peter Pan, the children are captured by captain Hook and strapped to the mast of his ship. With this ride I try to capture that part of the tale and make it into a thrilling experience.
The ship moves side to side by the waves while you spin aroud the mast of the ship.
(this isn't animated above because sketchfab could only use 1 out of the 2 animations)
During the ride users will feel the wind because of the speed, splashes of water and most of all, dizzy ofcource.

cue
For the cue I have recreated what it would look and feel like inside of captains Hook's ship. you wil walk trough small corridors only lit from above while the wood squeeks under your feet. trough the wall you hear some pirates arguing and others chanting a tipical pirate song.
originally I wanted the wooden walkway to be really dark, smell rotten and have water leaking from the celing, but after some consideration I decided this wouldn't be a good idea because people would have to stand and wait there for potentially hours.

moodboard & research
My research mainly consisted of watching the Peter Pan movie and scouting pintrest. I also researched what kind of themepark attrations there are and wich of those best suited my target audience and wrote it down in a word doc.

mockups
I decided it could be nice you could buy a water bottle as a souvenir.
And a small restaurant or fish stand would fit nice with the theme of pirates.

more concepts
A few other concepts I had was some kind of 4d movie theatre with wind machines to make you feel like you were flying. I also tought a catapult in wich you escape the crocodile would be perfect for the target audience.
