I began a Masters in Editorial and Advertising Illustration in November 2023 and the first module was titled Visual Narratives.

The module was split into 4 assignments, with the final one being the one we were to be assessed on.

The 4 assignments were titled as below:

04. Complex Storytelling & Sharp Imagery

01. Atmosphere

This was the first project of the module. We were instructed to produce 3 images of this size and try to create a certain feeling in each image using only 3 blocks of colour.

02. Symbolic Meaning

This was a fun project. We were to illustrate 4 images and tell a story from start to finish.

03. Implied Action in Storytelling

The brief for this project was to illustrate an image of anything we wanted but to try and tell a story at the same time.

04. Complex Storytelling & Sharp Imagery

The brief for this project was to illustrate a short story of our choice from a given list and illustrate the story in 4 images. I chose to illustrate 'The Island' by Hannah Lynch.
