CAD software is used extensively within industry and with wide availability, companies must consider all factors associated informing a decision that will fit the whole company. 

Project Objective: Model a consumer product, and subsequently perform critical analysis of modelling techniques, analysis options and manufacturing operations involved in creating a mold cavity, to review the effectiveness of Siemens NX and Vericut software, identifying any shortcomings.

Data transfer capability is a highly sought after feature within CAD software, and so 7 different formats were reviewed in NX providing insight into its ability to convert data. 

Project Aim: to provide practical experience of using a wide range of software, pushing the any current knowledge of CAD computer systems further from application into analysis of tool effectiveness ad contribution to a CAD users workflow.
