Nobody warns you, but when you go to Oaxaca, you end up in this magical place that looks exactly how you dreamed Mexico to be. It's like being on the set of Coco. 

Colorful colonial buildings, warm and welcoming locals, and outstanding cuisine. The town is surrounded by mountains making it a picturesque view no matter where you look. The city has so much history and culture to offer, yet, for me, its essence lies in the vibrant ambiance. It's so busy yet quiet. It's so different yet I felt at home. 

When there, I spent most of my time wandering around, enjoying coffee and street food, taking pictures, and people-watching on the Zócalo plaza.
