I had to create a Product Adverstisement for an Instagram post as my first independent assignment using Adobe Illustrator. 

I've always adored products from Golf Wang or Golf le Fleur, founded by superstar Tyler, the Creator, so I wanted to do a Product Advertisment on either brand. I picked the Converse One Star Ox x Golf le Fleur Industrial Pack shoes because it is bicolour, and has a distinctive and unique design that sets it apart from other shoes. I saw the opportuity to use the swoosh (flower with the star in the middle) and make it into a creative element that can attract attention and interest from visitors. Without hindering the main focus of the design, which is the shoe, I kept it minimalistic and was able to highlight the key design elements and colorways that make the shoes stand out. While the visual is crucial, I was able to give a short description of the shoes in the advertisement. 

This product advertisement is for Converse One Star Ox x Golf le Fleur Industrial Pack in 'Barely Blue' and 'Black-Egret'.

Principles of Design applied:

Contrast in Colour: Although orange contrasts with blue, I picked yellow (closest to orange) as it is the colour of “GOLF le FLEUR*’s” brand.

Emphasis in Alignment: I used left and right horizontal alignment for the flower and shoe.

Formal & Informal Balance: The texts and the logos at the bottom are centralised but the texts at the top are positioned to the right.

The reason why I chose these designs as I was experimenting with the Bevel & Emboss effect and it worked in my favour. The inflate effect on the flower brings out the shoe even more, making it the focus of the poster. I made sure to incorporate GOLF le FLEUR*'s brand image so as to enhance its appeal. Also, I managed to add the name of the shoe (“Industrial Pack”) as well as the slogan (“from GOLF to you, pick a shoe!”). I also added the person and brand that collaborated with Converse to create this One Star shoe, which is “GOLF le FLEUR* and Tyler, the Creator.
