Invitation Exercise
This invitation was created for a hypothetical bridal shower, incorporating the bride’s themes in a simplistic but elegant way. The bride’s main color for her wedding is a bold blue, which was used for accenting the most important information within the invite. The accent script was chosen to convey the event’s organized, refined atmosphere, while still keeping proper legibility and lettering aesthetics in mind. The typeface selected to contrast this used exclusively uppercase text so that it would seem less varied, allowing the event and name of the bride to be more prominent in the design. Dividing lines were used to group this information into related portions, intending for each section to be read individually without an overload of details. The margin box was used to properly contain the text and depict it as one overall unit despite having multiple individual pieces within the design.
