Interior Space
The goal of this project was to depict an interior space or character and color it using 4 different color schemes. Utilizing the tools in Adobe Illustrator and fundamentals of perspective drawing, I created an interior view of a home from which the viewer peers into through a window.
I picked a very unrestrictive, customized color scheme based loosely off colors from the real space. From there, I picked blue and yellow for a complementary color scheme, a purple monochromatic color scheme, and a warm-toned analogous color scheme.
Starting out with a custom color scheme, I aim to capture the warmth of home and the vibrancy one experiences life. The fuzzy frame blurs the foreground, drawing you into the created space. As the color schemes became more restrictive, different feelings are conveyed. The complementary color scheme created an eerie tone, making the viewer feel as though they are not meant to be there. The darker frame highlighted the brighter interior in both the complementary and monochromatic schemes. The warm palette of the analogous colored image gives the space a more comforting but fantastical, idealized look.
