For this project, I was tasked to conceptualize and design an editorial spread for a NPR article of my choosing. The chosen article's main point is describing the process on how to effectively care for houseplants. I wanted to capture the authors use of a friendly, yet informative tone by designing a trendy and captivating illustration.
My color palette consisted of mostly variated greens, terracotta reds and neutrals. These colors were used the most throughout the illustration, being reused in multiple areas in the design for the purpose of repetition and cohesion.
