FOLKTALE WEEK 2023
Folktale week is a week-long art challenge that follows several prompts to create work either based on existing folklore or invites artists to create new ones. I set myself the goal of creating a small story based on the prompts, which I will illustrate in black and white.
1. Lost
One day, when Hanna went into her room, she noticed that her favorite stuffed animal was missing. She was very scared that she might have lost it somewhere.
2. Ink
She immediately began searching her room, looking in every nook and cranny to see if she could find it. In the great search, she accidentally overturned the ink he had left on the table after yesterday's drawing.
3.Sea
The ink kept pouring out of the bottle, as if it never wanted to stop. It completely flooded the entire room and then the house, it seemed as if the whole world had turned into a sea of ink.
4. Sleep
Soon a tiny island appeared on the horizon. Hanna quickly made her way to the shore. She didn't want to believe that all this had happened, she quickly pinched herself to see if she was asleep, but it was indeed reality.
5. Underground
After waking up from her shock, she noticed a small voice. Her stuffed animal called her. She began to follow the sound that came from an underground cave.
6. Illusion
She gathered all her courage and ventured into the depths to save her pet. It got darker and darker, until it was dark all the way to her nose, but her toy was nowhere to be found. When she reached the end of the tunnel she realized that she was trapped and the sound was just an illusion. A huge monster emerged from the darkness.
7. Found
Hanna was terribly frightened and closed her eyes. She waited for the creature to grab him, but nothing happened. Suddenly she felt the softness of her favorite toy in her arms. She looked around cautiously and found herself in her own room. And her lovely little bunny was there with her. She finally found it, so she calmly went back to sleep.
