After London, Mexico City is the second city with the most museums in the world, with 170 public and private museums as well as 43 galleries.

The Museo Nacional de Historia is the site that keeps the memory of the history of Mexico, from the conquest of Tenochtitlan to the Mexican Revolution. Its rooms show a diversity of objects representative of four centuries of Mexican history.
The Museo Nacional de Arte function is to preserve, exhibit, study and spread works of art produced in Mexico between the second half of the 16th century and the first half of the 20th century, thereby offering a global and synthesized vision of the history of Mexican art of this period.
Palacio de Bellas Artes was built in the 1930s, this majestic building is recognized for its impressive Art nouveau and Art Deco architecture, as well as its interior decorated with works by important Mexican artists.
The Museo del Templo Mayor it opened its doors on October 12, 1987. Its creation was a consequence of the archaeological excavations carried out that allowed the vestiges of the Templo Mayor of Tenochtitlan to be recovered. All of this gave rise to the initiative to build a site museum to exhibit said collection.
