Step into the world of Macbeth as you've never seen it before with my promotional print collateral for the Australian Shakespeare Company's production. I was heavily influenced by the Swiss Typographic Movement, and through this approach, I've managed to capture the essence of darkness, insanity, and violence that defines this timeless tragedy.

My design showcases a monochromatic palette, where deep, dark shades emphasise the theme of darkness. Pops of blood red evoke the visceral violence at the heart of Macbeth, while gold and silver subheadings and body text hint at the play's themes of royalty and ambition.

Inspired by Armin Hofmann's high-contrast black and white, motion blur photography, I've used double exposure and motion blur techniques to convey the mental and emotional turmoil of Lady Macbeth and the characters. It's an invitation to delve deep into the characters' psyches and explore the play's intense, tragic world.

Unlike typical Macbeth posters, my collateral invites viewers to contemplate the psychological aspects of the story. I offer a subtle, intriguing take on the play's themes, hoping to pique curiosity and lead the audience to discover the depths of Macbeth's gripping narrative.

My goal was to connect viewers with the characters on an emotional level and convey the mental toll of ambition depicted in the play. I wanted my promotional materials to evoke the tragedy of Macbeth, setting the stage for an unforgettable theatrical experience.
