GEETHA'S SATI
There was loving wife and husband in a village named Rajakupam and they were leading a great life.They had two son’s who are studying in a government school.
Shiva is doing his 12th schooling and Vishnu is doing his 2nd college.
Geetha is housewife. Sometimes they had to sleep without eating because of the poverty they live in.
Ravi works in a leather company and the chemicals used in there is very harmful to people who inhale it. Ravi is been working there for almost 15 years now.
Sometimes when it rains they had to take a look at the entire house to see if they don’t have any leaks in the sealing.
They had a exhibition happening in their town and that was Diwali time by then, Shiva and Vishnu asked their parents if they can take them to see the exhibition, Geetha asked Ravi saying the kids are asking and i too want a change why cant we all go together its been so long since we all went out. Ravi said okay why not lets go out to the exhibition and they had so much fun time there. One week later Ravi gets sick all of a sudden and when he gets to hospital the doctors say that he has lung cancer and its in stage 4 where his living chances are very less and he might die any time sooner. One month later ravi gets so much ill and he passes away. Geetha and Ravi’s wants Geetha to preform sati. Geetha says no because if she performs sati what will happen to Shiva and Vishnu who will take care of them was the biggest consent,but both their families wanted Geetha to perform sati and she had no option.
Moral:
Sati should not be forced by any family members or anyone sati should not be practiced in day to day life sati has to be stopped.
