Chá das Cinco - Demo 23'

The "Chá das Cinco" collection is an artistic expression inspired by the elegant Jasperware technique of the Wedgewood porcelain brand. It is a simplification of traditional porcelain shapes, such as the rose, through a contemporary approach. The aim is to highlight the contrasts between negative and positive colours, creating a striking visual impact. Each piece is carefully to reflect the harmony between the clean lines and the subtle nuances of the colours, resulting in a set of garments that convey sophistication and modernity."

Moodboard

The moodboard reflects shapes, textures, manual techniques such as hand embroidery, and colours, in this case the blue of the wedgewood brand, which served as inspiration in designing the details of the collection, along with other clothing inspirations, making them casual so that they could be used in various everyday contexts, without abandoning the concept and the conceptual part of the collection.

Print Creation

The pattern that accompanies the entire "Chá das Cinco" collection was the result of a process of simplifying the floral motifs common in porcelain, combined with the contrast between the negative and positive colours present in the Jasperware porcelain technique, from the Wedgewood brand. The two patterns presented this relationship between negative/positive, since they represent the opposite of each other.

The Collection

Outfit 1 - A jacket and a straight, low-waisted skirt in the same pattern, made from a single material, organic cotton.

Outfit 2 - Long princess-cut dress with a bateau neckline, with machine-embroidered roses in shades of blue and white, mono-material, cotton.

Outfit 3 - Top with hundreds of crocheted flowers, each individually attached to a knitted base, handmade, mono-material, cotton, with long skirt with front and back yokes, side zip, mono-material, twill.

Outfit 4 - Classic top and trousers, patterned, mono-material, cotton.

Outfit 5 - Short dress with V-neck, machine and hand embroidery, single material, twill.
