This calendar is designed taking into account trends in the Swiss style design school. The basic idea of this style: "Form follows function." Thus, the challenge in designing the calendar was to make it convenient to use, avoid excessive decoration. Everything should be simply, clearly and functionally.I applied a lot of white background, ie, free space, which improves the readability of items and allows you to focus on essentials.Used various modifications of flat circle figure. In the Swiss traced avoidance of perspective (3D). Quite characteristic of this style circle form often used by designers.As to typography, the fonts used sans serif. Characteristic for this style are as following font narnitury Univers and Helvetica. I chose font Helvetica.Focuses on typography as an important means of communication, and in the absence of a large number of decorative elements - the font itself becomes a decorative element. The numbers (indicating the month) have large size relative to the rest of the text. This too is characteristic of the Swiss school.All information on pages structured according to a modular grid.
Colors.
Used open, unexpected, vibrant colors the entire spectrum. Gradation of colors is according to changes in seasons. Each season is endowed with its tone: winter - blue, spring - green, summer - yellow, autumn - red. Each month corresponds to a different color, depending on the tone of the season. In placing calendar items can be traced a certain structure and its change during the year.
Structure and concept.
The first month of the calendar posted a rather chaotic, gradually they are aligned and form a coherent structure, complete a single form. It recreates the idea of certain human actions: the beginning of the year there are new case, is only the beginning and still quite disordered, and within a year it gradually took its place, is formed and reaches its logical conclusion, to the result.
