La editorial Blackie Books me encargó las ilustraciones para las estas dos novelas del escritor Juarma. En "Al final siempre ganan los monstruos", para describir el costumbrismo andaluz juvenil de extrarradio de los noventa, se propuso el retrato de una moto clásica del momento aparcada en un muro precario, con pistas en el suelo sobre el consumo de sustancias ilegales, tan presentes en el relato.
Blackie Books commissioned me to create illustrations for two novels by the author Juarma. In "Al final siempre ganan los monstruos", the goal was to capture the Andalusian youth culture of the outskirts in the nineties. The proposed illustration features a classic motorcycle from that era parked against a precarious wall, with clues on the ground hinting at the prevalent use of illegal substances in the narrative.

La segunda parte de esta saga, "Punki, una historia de amor", se desarrolla en el mismo entorno semirrural, en la ilustración se optó por ubicar la escena en un murete de piedra con flores silvestres autóctonas. La moto está presente en su versión más adulta, hay un casco en el suelo y se comparte un cigarrillo en comunión, mirando al horizonte.
The second part of this saga, "Punki, una historia de amor", unfolds in the same semi-rural setting. The chosen illustration situates the scene on a stone wall adorned with native wildflowers. The motorcycle is featured in its more mature version, with a helmet on the ground, and there is a shared cigarette in communion, gazing towards the horizon.
