Activity Centre for children


Adventure Alley Activity Centre is an inclusive space for children aged four to ten years. It is designed to provide free after-school leisure activities for families with lower incomes who may not have access to recreational activities in Southport, Gold Coast. The center offers both indoor and outdoor activities, with a focus on being a safe, friendly environment for children to socialize and develop new skills.
Open free play area: The aim of the space is to invite to different form of play for everyone
Arts and craft area: The chairs can easily be moved for wheelchair. The cork wall is designed for the children to hang up paintings and drawings. Climbing area: The climbing wall is not too high so it's safe for the children. The thick mattress has a high contrast against the floor
Classroom: Separate room for teaching and help with homework. The children can also get help if they struggle to read or write. The room have a moss wall to bring in some biophilic design, but also because this promotes learning
Quiet room: This is a room where the children can take a timeout for themself and relax. It was designed with focus on phenomenology and bringing in biophilic design with the moss wall. There are acoustic panels on the wall with is a fun element where the children can touch. And speaker in the ceiling playing calm music
Disco room: This room invites the children to explore the fun of dancing and movement. It is open and accessible for everyone. It has a fun wallpaper and a mirror wall
Reading corner: Here the children can find a book, lay down on the mattress and read alone or together
