Seattle Sounders FC is a pro men's soccer team from Seattle, Washington, USA. They play in Major League Soccer's Western Conference, starting in 2009 as an MLS expansion team. This club, established on November 13, 2007, is a revival of the previous Sounders team that competed in various leagues from 1994 to 2008, keeping the name of the original Sounders franchise that existed from 1974 to 1983 in the NASL.
