My photographic escapade to Senja.

My photography escapade north of the Arctic Circle.
Senja is Norway ‘s second largest island, some 3 hours’ drive away from Tromsø and well above the Arctic Circle. Senja is the home to ragged mountains and fishing villages.  At this time of the year, the leaves of the birch tree change into a beautiful velvety yellow and red berries are everywhere to be picked. The lush vegetation is due to the influence of the Gulf Stream terminating its course nearby. While there, we were blessed by mild weather and got to see the Nordic Lights.  This scenery is truly magnificent, especially next to the mountains and the blue sea. It's a heaven for landscape and nature photography.
