Staircase between two historical buildings
During the reconstruction of a historical complex in Dnipro city, the task of arranging the entrance area between two historical buildings came up.
The idea was to create a remote volumetric element in a modern style.
The staircase had to fit expressively and aesthetically into the historically adjacent buildings.
The structure for the staircase consist of suspension ropes attached to the existing load-bearing beams between two buildings.
The staircase is made of stainless steel using pipes of different sizes for the railings.
To preserve the historical cornices of the buildings, stainless steel inserts were utilised on the sides of the structure to connect the glass volume to the facades.
