UNIRSM – Design
A part of my profession to which I am very attached is that of the activity carried out within the University of Design in San Marino.

The training experience carried out in an incessant manner and the stimulus deriving from attending the university environment represent extremely important factors for a professional, especially in the field of graphic design. This discipline is constantly evolving, driven by technology, trends and market needs. Therefore, staying up to date and constantly deepening your skills is essential.

Furthermore, attending the university environment offers a further stimulus for professional growth. Universities offer an environment rich in resources, networking opportunities and interaction with teachers, colleagues and, no less, with students entering the world of design. The exchange of ideas and collaboration with people from different backgrounds stimulates creativity and allows you to broaden your vision of design and approach to learning.

In a creative field such as design, continuous training and the university environment offer stimuli, learning opportunities and the possibility of growing both personally and professionally, while helping to lay the foundations of the creative and design method of the new generations.
2D DIGITAL REPRESENTATIO
The course takes place during the first teaching module of the study plan. In this phase, the students, through a theoretical-practical methodology, begin their approach to the tools and technical processes of producing printed documents or documents intended for dissemination on digital media.

The course is divided into theoretical, practical lessons and classroom exercises and leads students to master the basic notions of digital processing and control of the relationship between IT and analogue products.
In the theoretical part of the course, the rules of digital representation are discussed starting from the fundamentals.

Specifically, the concepts relating to pixels, raster grids, analogue and digital color synthesis, color theories and the relationship between subtractive and additive mixtures, and, again, the management of files, their formats and compressions for process purposes are explored in depth. useful for carrying out design-related projects.
There is no shortage of in-depth information on the evolution of printing, typographical characters and fonts, analyzed in parallel with the introduction of systems for the digital use of visual communication.

The final project aims to develop a guided project that combines and embodies all the theoretical-practical concepts learned by representing a design object on different supports and with various methodologies.

EDUCATIONAL OUTINGS
Educational trip to the Tipoteca Italiana in Cornuda (Treviso, Italy) organized within the Course.
During the day the students participate in the guided tour and the printing workshop with lead and wood typographical characters.
