Ski Swank: Turning Cat Tracks into a Catwalk

I was accepted into the fashion design program at Washington State University and Ski Swank is my senior collection. It is the culmination of ideas that were inspired by the days I would ski down the mountains getting asked “Wow! Who’s the little boy?”. When I was in my youth, I spent many weekends skiing with my brother and cousins, mostly male. I was often mistaken for another little “dude” at the bottom of the hill since most female skiwear at the time was cut and colored very similarly to men's skiwear. My passion for showing off my feminine side, while also wearing something just as functional grew and grew from those days until now.
