Welcome to Majuli is a non-fiction picturebook based on the true story of the river island Majuli in Assam, India narrated by a fictional character called Prita. Majuli is in danger of completely disappearing due to soil erosion caused by flooding and hence, this project aims to create an awareness that might somehow draw help to save the island and it's people. This book was created as a part of my master's project for an MA in Children's Book Illustration.
