Rack City

Rack City is a wine rack I created during a Hackathon in the fall semester of my Senior year at Berry College. Using scrap pieces of wood lying around the woodshop, I assembled the rack in four hours with little complications.

Drilling holes into slabs
I used five 5x5 wooden slabs to assemble the wine rack and cut holes into the middle of the wood block using a 44mm drill bit. Then, I attached the 5x5 block to a 5x8 plank, allowing the bottle to sit securely. Later, I attached the L-shaped slabs onto a larger wood plank and added a dark stain color for the final touches.
