“It is believed that when a ladybug lands on a person, it takes away all his ailments and sorrows. Every midsummer night, each ladybug ventures on a pilgrimage to the Heart of The Enchanted Forest. There they pay love and respect to the Lady Coccinea, the Scarlet Fairy. All through the night until the break of dawn, the Lady listens and forgives, as the ladybugs unload their burden, the sickness and sins of humankind. Come morning, the ladybugs fly away reborn, but marked with an extra spot signifying that another human life will be healed and redeemed.”
