The challenge was to create a logo as well as a brand design for an arts and sports event held by a student group from the engineering faculty of Jenderal Soedirman University.
The event entitled Engineering Music Festival or abbreviated as EMF aims to foster passion and creative enthusiasm in students college as well as the environment around engineering faculty of Jenderal Soedirman University.
The competition was attended by all departments in the engineering faculty: Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Informatics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering.
Each department sent their best representatives to compete in various competition fields.
I was selected as a representative from the Civil Engineering department to compete in a graphic design competition to create the identity of Engineering Music Festival 2016.
The design I created depicts five departments of engineering faculty of Jenderal Soedirman Univertsity that synergize with each other in the differences between departments and competition in the event. Boxes with different colored cores of light represent the five departments. They are connected to each other by a line of light which is a depiction of the synergy between departments. The various sports and music instruments illustrations in the big triangle represents the competitions that held at the Engineering Music Festival 2016 with the top of the triangle representing the victory that can only be achieved together.
