In this brief we had to change a book cover into typography. I chose to do a redesign of Macbeth.
"This pivotal moment features three witches discussing their fateful meeting with Macbeth, foretelling his rise to the throne but also prophesying his eventual downfall and demise."
To visually depict this powerful scene, I envisioned three distinct figures representing the witches, meticulously crafted using the words from the beginning of the book. The flowing typography seamlessly weaves together to form these enigmatic figures, evoking the mystical aura surrounding the witches’ prophecy.
As the eye is drawn towards the centre of the composition, the typographic representation of the witches transitions into a hauntingly intricate skull. This symbolic transformation foreshadows Macbeth’s tragic fate, signifying the ominous implications of the witches’ prophecy and the inevitable tragedy that unfolds.
