Artworking Dunhill Tobacco
Whilst working for Dagwood Associates (a luxury packaging prototype manufacturer), my day-to-day duties revolved around preparing tobacco artworks for print.
Usually for conventional printers artworks can be supplied as a composite file leaving machines to auto-trap for ink tolerances. However, Dagwood Associates print all of their packaging using single colour litho proofing presses, this means only one colour can be printed at a time, therefore each colour within the supplied artworks had to be separated as an individual artwork file with print tolerances manually applied and sent for print as individual .eps files.
