The scarecrow is often a character in horror that scares people moreso than the birds they're intended to ward off. I wanted to try my hand a spooky scarecrow jumping out at the viewer, using a dynamic pose, shadows and colours I thought might do the trick. I called him 'Jack' because... well, what else do you call a Scarecrow?!  

The idea was inspired by the horror movies I enjoy, the Wizard of Oz and the Batman villain, Scarecrow. This piece was just a bit of fun where I got to play with and practice my own style.
