Phantasmatopia examines utopias both inside and outside of reality, peering at once towards the waning past and headlong towards any one of a myriad futures. To better understand the multitude of pathways humanity could take, this zine presents two examples of alternate societies approaching utopia: one attempted, and one imagined. This half of the zine analyzes the Llano del Rio commune: an attempted socialist colony that operated from 1914-1918.
