The Zoetrope is mainly inspired by the Mayan Calendar & also from some details and characteristics of Maltese Tiles and the traditional door knockers .

 

It rotates automatically and a strobe light is directed onto the images to portray the animation. The zoetrope is played on an old long play player...and with some magic it still works.
